Perryton Junior High Teacher Selected For NASA Liftoff Institute

Sosebee headed to Johnson Space Center

Sosebee Perryton Junior High Science Teacher, Kelsey Sosebee has been selected for the prestigious LiftOff Summer Institute to be held at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston this summer. This program sponsored by NASA's Texas Space Grant Consortium selects teachers from across the country who will increase their knowledge of space education through the LiftOff Professional Development Summer Institute. PJH Principal, Janet Slaughter expressed her pride and excitement for Miss Sosebee. "I'm so proud of Kelsey and I know she will gain valuable skills to share with her students for years to come." Selected educators will come together June 26-July 1 in Houston to conduct experiments, tour facilities and network with other educators. Upon their return, these educators will pass their knowledge on to their fellow teachers and use new material in the classroom. The workshops also provide teachers the rare opportunity to spend a week working with professional scientists and engineers at the cutting edge of space exploration. Congratulations to Mrs. Sosebee for this special achievement and for setting a great example for her students and fellow educators.
